Welcome to our August pre season squad training
These are going to be special sessions designed by Archie to introduce you to strength and conditioning specifically for fencing. you will be introduced to a range of exercises designed to hone and develop the muscles and fitness you need to develop your fencing to its full potential. These exercise will include things such as plyometric exercises for explosive power, footwork drills, strength endurance drills and drills to help the core strength and balance of our fencers.
Moving forward into the next season the exercises learned and studied during these days will be available on our portal and Archie will suggest a weekly session focusing on specific exercises - these will change each week to keep your interest up and ensure you develop consistently across your fencing mind and body!
These sessions are of high importance to anyone who wishes to excel in their fencing journey. Technique is one thing but to be a complete fencer you must master training the body correctly, allowing you to access more strengths when on the piste.
