Join us for an energetic and engaging fencing session led by our enthusiastic assistant coach, Archie Broughton.
This lively class is perfect for beginners eager to learn the fundamentals of fencing, improve their skills, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Whether you're aiming to compete or simply want to enjoy a unique and exciting activity, you'll develop key techniques, get a feel for the sport, and share in the thrill of sparring.
Fencing is a sport that welcomes everyone regardless of shape or size. It is both mentally stimulating and physically demanding, offering a fantastic way to develop flexibility, posture, and strength while having fun.
Fencers progress at their own pace. When you're ready, you can also join evening sessions in Cambridge to further hone your skills and enjoy even more fencing excitement.
All necessary fencing gear is provided, so you just need to wear long tracksuit trousers with pockets taped or sewn shut, along with trainers. Remember to bring plenty of water, a dry T-shirt, and a warm top or coat for after the session.
If you've fenced for less than one term, you'll receive a temporary 10-week membership to the British Fencing Association at no cost, which you will need to maintain with an annual fee of £15 from your second term onwards. Membership provides essential insurance coverage and many other benefits.
