Competition Support Public Schools Championships - Stephen Perse Team

Stephen Perse are sending a small squad to this annual competition. It is a fantastic opportunity to represent the school and to see and experience a huge national competition.

TEAMS

The girls will be fencing on March 17th and will be Rosie Raju in the U14 Mount Haes and Alannah Modis and Grace Poole in the Senior Girls Foil. Xander Curran will be in the Boys Mount Haes on 18th March

COACH

Sarah Paveley will be the support coach and will bring spare kit.

COST

The school is meeting the entry fees and some of the coach support. the cos to you is £85 and please complete this booking to make the payment.

TRAVEL

Travel will be under your own steam but Carina Lieu, Rosie Raju's mum will be able to give lifts on the Tuesday there and back. Sarah will meet Xander at the venue.

TIMES

We dont yet know the time of the competitions but assume it will be early and return may be late. Possibly arriving at the venue by 08.30 and not home until early evening - this is the worst case scenario and as soon as we know the start times for your competitions, we will be able to advise further. (the start times won't be confirmed until after 27/02/26.

The times stated in this booking will NOT reflect the time you must check in to the competition or the time you will finish - The support coach will be at the competition from the arrival of our first fencer until the last of our fencers finishes fencing.

MISSING SCHOOL

As you are representing the school, Mrs Wells, Director of Sport will ensure that you hare formally excused from lessons that day.

COMMS

KIT

Bring all fencing kit including two working and weight tested foils and two body wires - you should have these if you attend competitions regularly otherwise we can lend them to you. The coaches will have spare wires and foils all tested and working.

If you need to borrow anything else from us or are unsure about anything please make sure you contact Sarah or Carina and arrange it at least a week before.

Please ensure you wear Stephen Perse official sports kit/track suit and that you have long over the knee socks
