Join the exciting Stephen Perse Senior School Fencing Club, specially designed for students in years 7 and above.
This lively and engaging club offers a fantastic introduction to the sport of fencing, encouraging young athletes of all levels to develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment.
During sessions, participants will learn the fundamentals of fencing, improve their technique, and enjoy friendly competitions both locally and regionally.
All equipment is provided, so just come dressed in long tracksuit trousers, trainers, and bring plenty of water and a warm layer for after fencing.
This program promotes fitness, concentration, and confidence. Novice fencers will receive a temporary membership to the British Fencing Association free for the first 10 weeks, providing access to helpful benefits and insurance coverage. After that, a small annual fee is required to maintain membership and insurance.
The club follows the British Academy of Fencing syllabus, offering achievement awards for dedicated participants and the chance to join evening sessions in Cambridge when ready.
Coached by experienced and passionate instructor Sarah Paveley, a two-time Commonwealth silver medalist, this fencing course combines fun, sport, and skill-building in a vibrant setting.
