Wednesday Evening Club Night (U18) - Spring Term 2025.

A dynamic, buzzing session at Cambridge Sword Club.

Coached by the Cambridge Sword team Sarah, Matt, Heather and Archie - all of whom are enthusiastic and committed to the enjoyment of fencing for all.

(please note this session now starts at 17.45 to allow coaches and fencers to get to the session on time as the traffic slightly earlier can be contentious! the price of the session has been reduced by 1/8 to account for this)

Full club members must wear full kit to this session - if you do not have any item of kit, you can hire it from the club. Although we expect fencers to have at least their own glove in their first term of attending and their own foil and body wire from their second term and lame in third.

Please book the kit you need whilst booking and it will be provided at the first session you attend.

If you have fenced for more than one term you MUST be a member of the BFA and confirm your membership number in your booking info.

Membership of the BFA is mandatory for all members of clubs affiliated to the British Fencing Association - it gives many benefits and most importantly, insurance.

Fencing is fast and furious following a warm-up game, stretching and focused footwork session. Tactical and strategic scenarios are set for sparring, fencers are divided into ability/experience groups.

Our rules and policy document is attached. its a good idea to familiarise yourselves with this before attending your first session.
